Whether you’re dealing with a build-up of earwax, experiencing discomfort, or noticing a reduction in hearing, our ear microsuction service provides a safe, effective, and gentle solution.

What Is Ear Microsuction?

Ear microsuction is a modern, clinically proven method for removing excess earwax and debris from the ear canal. Unlike traditional methods such as ear syringing, microsuction uses a specialised suction device and a digital otoscope to carefully remove earwax without the use of water. This technique is precise, comfortable, and minimises the risk of infection or damage to the ear.

Why Choose Ear Microsuction?

  • Safe and Effective: Microsuction is one of the safest ways to remove earwax, especially for those with sensitive ears or perforated eardrums.
  • Comfortable: The procedure is quick and typically painless, making it a preferred choice for many patients.
  • Immediate Results: Most patients experience immediate relief from symptoms like blocked ears, improved hearing, and reduced discomfort after the procedure.
  • No Water Used: Unlike ear syringing, microsuction doesn’t involve flushing the ear with water, reducing the risk of infection.

FAQ: Ear Wax Removal via Microsuction

Microsuction is safe for the vast majority of people. You may not be suitable for microsuction if you have an active infection in your ear, if you have a perforation in your ear drum or if you have had previous surgery on your ear. Be sure to let our clinician know about any prior ear-related issues you have had at your appointment and they will determine your suitability for microsuction.
